Veda Washington
Owner And Director
Veda Washington has been married for over 40 years and has one child, a beautiful daughter-in-law, and 2 beautiful granddaughters. Family is a big part of her life when it comes to childcare. She’s been in child care for over 20 years and started with a licensed home in the city of Mount Clemens. Her goal was to bring in and teach more children, so she founded Future Scholars Childcare and Preschool in 2015. Her education background includes 3 degrees, one being a BA in Early Childhood Education, and she continues to learn using MiRegistry with the State of Michigan and Great Start to Quality.
Sally Rosberg
Assistant Teacher - Preschool/School Age
Sally has been in childcare for 30+ years. She’s retired from the Grosse Pointe Public School System where she was the Assistant Childcare Coordinator. She also has a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
Rachel Smith
Assistant Teacher - Toddler ( Teacher in Training)
Rachel’s passion is to work with children. She has an aim to acquire her CDA in the near future, and become a teacher where she’s able to impact the lives of the children she teaches.

My name is Sophia Thomas, I have been working in childcare for over 8 years. I love working with the youth it has been my passion since I was 16 years old. I love helping them learn and discover life.

My name is Jasmine Nelson. I have been working in the child care field constantly for over a year. I always enjoy working with children, watching them be creative, grow (academically & physically) and teaching them new things. I look forward to meeting more families and providing great child care service. I am currently working towards getting my CDA in Infants and Toddlers.
